-So who is FotoEnvy?
Awesome question! The simple answer is Chris, Eric, Jackie, Kyle, Stephen and Yunkin make up the photographic force behind FotoEnvy. We have interns as well as assistants that help us out on your wedding day.
-How long have you been around?
Fotoenvy the company formed in 2010 and incorporated in 2012. Each of it’s photographers have been in the wedding photography industry far longer. This experience helps us maintain an amazing level of quality when it comes to being part of your wedding day.
-Are wedding consultations necessary?
No, but we really believe that the chemistry you have with your photographers is extremely important. The more fun and awesome they are the more smiles you will have come wedding day.
-Do you travel?
We’ve been to Mexico, Texas, Wisconsin, Michigan and beyond. We would love to travel to you for your wedding day. If you’re not in the Rockford area give us a call and we can set up a Skype meeting and come to you and rock your wedding!
-Do you have backup equipment and insurance?
Yes on both and we can provide a proof of insurance to your venue if requested.
-How do you work on our wedding day?
We try to be hands-off and unobtrusive during most of the day. During the getting ready phase, we would sometimes ask you to move to a certain spot to get a better image, but we would usually let things happen naturally and not pose people. We take casually posed fun portraits of the bridal parties, and our favorite time of the day is shooting casually posed images of the bride and groom together. We generally will not interrupt your guests at the reception for a pose, preferring instead to capture them smiling, laughing, and having a great time. We hang around the dance floor a lot, and you’ll probably see us dance awkwardly to the music throughout the evening.
-What kind of editing do you do?
We go through every image and make slight enhancements and remove blemishes as requested. We believe that a good photograph is created when the shutter is pressed, not in photoshop after the fact. We use our photography skills and experience to achieve gorgeous photos right out of the camera. We also creatively edit a selection of your images to tell a story of your entire day the way it was meant to be.
-Can I print the photos I receive?
Yes, absolutely. You will receive a flash drive with your digital images with copyright release and you are free to print the photos yourself if you wish. We do retain the copyright to the images and can use them for our website, portfolio, or promotional materials.
-What is an “Online Gallery”
The online gallery is a private section on our website where all of your wedding photographs will be placed online for you and your family and friends to view. You can also placed print orders directly from the gallery.
-I have very specific needs, can you create a custom package?
Absolutely! We regularly customize packages for our clients. Feel free to request a quote for whatever you are looking for. If you don’t see something you like, just ask. We probably can get it done for you.
-What is a FotoBooth?
We were never fans of the closed photobooths that have popped up at weddings across the globe. One day we decided we wanted to make something different, something fun and something that we feel can match your wedding day. Gone is the closet and out comes lighting, backdrops and it’s own photographer. A mini photoshoot and full 4×6 prints for all your guests. -Do you shoot video? We do not, but we know people who can.
-You’re booked on my day, what do we do now?
If you’re looking locally here in Rockford then there are two photographers that come to mind. Run to google and ask for the information about Ryan Davis and Brian Milo. You can’t go wrong with either one and we believe in their product 100%. If you’re outside of Rockford then hit up Thorne Washington and his Lady friend Gretchen as they live in Schaumburg and can get to that Chitown wedding faster than the rest of us.
